Getting Ready for Christmas

Decorating the gingerbread house.

Emma and her teacher Mrs. Moodie and her friend Leanne.

The gift Emma made for me at her Christmas party.

Singing Christmas songs at the party. They sang Silent Night in spanish. I was so impressed!

* Her horse * A baton for her bow * A racquetball case for her quiver * A small box for Lucy's medicine

My brother Tomy and Nate.

Time Flies

I don't where the days go. Before I know it, another week has gone by and I haven't gotten much done. And my blog has been horribly neglected.

Baby Nate is growing so fast, and he has started responding to me with smiles and coos. I love that part!!! He is such a good eater and sleeper. Last night was the best night yet ~ We got a 7 hour stretch of sleep!

I am hoping by the new year we will have somewhat of a routine and I will be able to start stamping again. Right now I am purging our house of things that need to go to Godowill ~ Emma's old baby clothes, toys that haven't been touched in years, maternity clothes, old books. It feels so good to be getting this project done and our house back into order (after a 9 month lull).

Last weekend was our annual family trip to the Broadmoor for Sunday brunch. We usually go in the summer but due to my condition we waited till Christmas this year. It was so fun to see all the holiday decorations and the biggest gingerbread house display I have ever seen.

Afterwards we did some shopping and Emma got a new sweats outfit that she is quite certain makes her swing higher than usual. So much so that she was determined to swing in the snow yesterday. It was coming down and her hair was all wet, but swing she did!

Holiday Update

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with both sides of the family. Nate got to meet one of his uncles (my brother) and one of his great grandmas (Tim's grandma) for the first time.

We celebrated my parent's 40th wedding anniversary with a fabulous dinner at the Sunbird (or the "restaurant on the hill" as Emma calls it). Our gift to them was a digitally printed scrapbook of all their years together. They loved it and everyone enjoyed all the old pictures!

Nate enjoyed cuddles with Papa and Uncle Tomy as well as rocking with Daddy and big sister.

We got the Christmas tree up on a snowy Sunday afternoon, and Emma and Daddy did some snow shoveling.

And I had to post this because it's so stinking cute!
