BFF Visit & Fathers Day Weekend

My best friend Diane and her two kids came for a visit last week! It's the first time we've seen each other in 2 1/2 years, so we had lots of catching up to do. It was a blast having them here! Here are some highlights from the week.

A trip to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (with a few other friends)

Playing at the splash park (my mom and 2 nieces came too)

Fun in the sun

Our friends left Friday morning and that afternoon we headed to Denver for a Rockies game. We were given tickets to a sky box with Coach Bill McCartney (he coached at CU and was one of the founders of Promise Keepers). What a night that was!!! Emma even had cotton candy for the first time ever!

The next day we spent the day in the mountains with my family ~ riding motorcycles and four-wheelers and grilling out!

On Sunday we had a picnic lunch at my inlaw's house then we headed home and hung out in the hammock.

This week Emma is at worship arts camp, and we get to see some other friends tomorrow night that moved away last year! I thought summer would be a slower paced schedule, but I am loving all the fun things we are getting to do.

And I leave you with a Nate update...he is pulling up to everything and standing!

In The Kitchen With Emma

Emma and I saw this fun recipe in a magazine and decided to try it. They are homemade pudding-wiches. YUM!

Recipe:
1 1/2 cups low fat milk
3/4 cup peanut butter
1 box (3.9 oz) chocolate pudding
1 cup whipped topping
16 graham crackers

Line a 13x9 pan with foil ~ set aside. With an electric mixer, mix peanut butter and milk. Beat in pudding until mixed well. Fold in whipped topping. Pour into pan and put in freezer until frozen (2-3 hours). Lift frozen pudding out of pan and use a knife to cut into the size of graham crackers (broken in half). Wrap in saran wrap or foil and freeze.
