We celebrated Tim's birthday last weekend. It started with a birthday breakfast and presents.
This is one of Tim's favorite gifts...a customized calendar. I started this tradition about 4 years, and everyone looks forward to the new one each year.
That afternoon my Mom watched the kids while we went to Denver. We saw the Blue Man Group, and it was a great time! Then we went shopping at Bass Pro and had dinner at their restaurant. It was SOOOO good.
Happy birthday, Tim! You are one awesome husband and Daddy! We love you to the moon and back.

Weird Winter
So far we have had 2 snows in Colorado Springs, and neither of them have been very noteworthy. This last one though left the streets white enough that the kids were able to sled a bit. It was Nate's first time! Of course he loved it!
It was 60 degrees today! I'm not complaining...I LOVE the warm weather. But it does seem a little odd for Colorado. There's a rumor that we might get a white Christmas. Now that would be something special!

Annual Brunch at the Broadmoor
Every year we have receive a gift certificate for brunch at the Broadmoor from Tim's office staff. We look forward to this Christmas gift every year! Sometimes we go in the summer, but sometimes we save it for December so we can see all the wonderful decorations.
One of the hightlights is the massive gingerbread house display.
One of dozens of Christmas trees.
Emma's favorite brunch item - the chocolate fountain!
Emma & Tim enjoying the live piano music.
I told Nate he couldn't walk around because they would pick him up and put him in a box. He thought that was hysterical!
We always walk around the lake after brunch. We love seeing the swans and dozens of geese.

Thanksgiving Recap
Over Thanksgiving break we camped out in the basement!
Every holiday includes a wrestling session with Uncle Tomy!
Thanksgiving dinner....YUM!
We put up the tree and, as is tradition, Tim and the kids laid under it and read Christmas books.
Emma and Nate played in the show!
Nate got to do some painting!
We went to the Pueblo Parade of Lights (for the first time) because my niece Kalie was in it with her cheerleading team.
I can't believe we are only a few weeks away from Christmas!I was reminded this weekend that Christmas is all about "the glory of God." Don't miss it! Grasp his glory by focusing on Him, meditating on the Word and engaging with His truths.
