Memories & Prayers

It's been a rough week around here. It started with the passing of my Grandma, followed by her funeral and burial. I already miss her so much. It's sad to think about how our little visits are over, but I try to picture her in the presence of Jesus and that brings me great comfort. Here are a few more pictures from previous visits with Grandma Bennie.

We also received news today that one of my uncles has been given a few months to live due to the cancer that has spread throughout his entire body. This past weekend he teamed up with my brother Tomy to play some gospel music at a backyard BBQ following my Grandma's funeral. We were all so blessed! Please pray for my Uncle Larry as he deals with this difficult news and faces difficult days to come.

On top of all that, a dear friend of mine named Bethany has been very ill and hospitalized for the past several weeks. The doctors found some internal bleeding, so they will be doing surgery tomorrow to fix it. Please keep Bethany and her sweet family in your prayers as well.

I am often overwhelmed by the tragedy and pain and loss that we experience in this world, but as Bethany's husband Tom reminded me tonight..."We serve an awesome God. We serve a God who cannot be exaggerated. He is to be praised."

Let it be true of me, Lord. You are Worthy!
