Thirteen years of wedded bliss - and that ain't no lie!

Happy anniversary to the man of my dreams! "Some call it luck, but I know it's grace." I love you this much...

This is what an "I do" and thirteen years of blessing have amounted to...a wonderful life, a wonderful family, a wonderful dream come true.

I love you, Tim!

The most beautiful card I've ever received...

From my precious Emma.

She made this Mothers Day card for me at school. I am so touched by her tender words and love for me. It starts off with, "You are the flower of my life."

Thank you for making Mothers Day so special. I love you, Emma!

Best Mothers Day. Part 3

On Sunday we went to church and heard a wonderful message on the 23rd Psalm. That afternoon Tim and Emma made a delicious dinner, and Tim's parents joined us.

The menu included filet mignon, baked potatoes, fruit salad, green salad, sour dough bread, and steamed green beans. And the most decadent chocolate mousse dessert I've ever had.

I love generational pictures.

Tim and his Momma.

It was the most beautiful day we've had all year, so we had some fun in the sun.

Best Mothers Day. Part 2

The Saturday before Mothers Day my Mom and Dad came over to spend the day with us. First we went to Emma's soccer game, which they won!

Emma's cheering section. That's my sweet friend Stephanie and her son Joseph.

Then we had a picnic at the park.

Afterwards, we went to "Touch a Truck," which was one WAY COOL event. But that deserves its own post. (Check back later this week.)

Then us girls hit the mall for a pedicure.

For dinner we went to one of our faves...Cheddars! It was a fun-filled day, celebrating my awesome, wonderful, loving Mom.

Happy Mothers Day, Mom! You are my hero and one of my dearest friends. Love you!!!

Best Mothers Day. Ever. Part 1

I will start by telling you my Mothers Day posts will be made in three separate parts. I am starting with this one...family pictures...because they are the reason I get to celebrate Mothers Day at all.

The two most precious kids!

Emma and Nate bring so much joy and laughter to my life. I feel so undeserving, and yet I thank God every day for counting me faithful to be their Mom.

Before I ever become a Mom, God blessed me with one amazing husband. Tim is my best friend and the greatest love of my life. He is a wonderful Daddy, godly husband and one of the most generous people you'll ever meet.

I am rich in family and deeply blessed.

Tim got me this hammock several years ago for Mothers Day, and now it is a Mothers Day tradition for us. And one of my favorite things to do.

My family spoiled me with flowers, ear rings and handmade cards.

(More on this card in another post.)

Thank you Tim, Emma and Nate for making me feel so loved and blessed today. I treasure you more than you'll ever know. Thank you God for allowing me to be a wife and mommy. My life is overflowing with love and joy. I am blessed!

Easter Baskets

The night we got home from Texas, I had Easter baskets waiting for Nate and Emma.

They both got these dancing monkeys, and Nate had such a ball with his. He LOVES monkeys, so he kept hugging his and laughing everytime it would sing and dance.

Emma was really excited to get the DVD of "Tangled."

And her adorable new outfit (that I got on clearance last November)!

Easter in Texas

We went to Texas for Easter weekend and had so much fun hanging out with my extended family. It was extra fun because we took my parents with us.

Emma and Nate got to color eggs with their second cousins, Jacey and Emmie.

My cousin Jenny and I had fun helping with egg coloring.

Getting ready to go find eggs!

Nate would pick up an egg and shake it. If it doesn't like a good one (i.e. like it had candy in it)...

He would throw it back.

But the girls weren't picky!

Resurrection Sunday...ready for church...with my parents and grandparents.

Emma and Nate with their great grandparents.

Four generations. (Me, my Dad, Emma & Nate, my Dad's parents)

Nate and Uncle Terry.

Nate and Emma with Nanny and Aunt Denise.

Nate had so much fun filling up great grandma's bird bath.

Nate and great grandpa having a throwing contest.

Emma and Nate having a nice conversation with great grandpa on the swing.

We made lots of special memories with some special people...bike rides, park hopping, ice cream at Braum's, coloring eggs, hiding and finding them, late night conversations, yummy meals, playing with Sister (my aunt & uncle's dog), playing games...it always ends too soon. But it leaves us looking forward to the next time.
